Adventure Net Sea Summer Camp – Where Kids Discover the Freedom of Summer
A Real Summer Begins Where Kids Are Free
There’s a place by the shore where clocks stop, screens lose their meaning, and children’s laughter echoes even at night under the stars. This isn’t just a vacation – this is a real summer. No asphalt, no walls, no rigid schedules. Just sand underfoot, salty wind in their hair, and that look in a child’s eyes who has finally found their true self – exactly as they’re meant to be. Free.
In a world where children grow up behind screens and parents constantly juggle commitments, quality outdoor time has become a luxury. And freedom – something that needs to be organized, planned, and guaranteed. This is precisely where Adventure Net steps in with its proven, well-structured, yet emotionally rich sea summer camp for kids.
Where Does the Adventure Net Sea Camp Take Place?
Every week from early July to early September, dozens of children from across Bulgaria gather at a special place: Gradina Beach, right next to Sozopol. The camp is set up in a designated area of the large Camping Gradina, where tents are pitched right by the shore, and the surroundings offer all the conditions for a safe, active, and inspiring experience.
The Adventure Net Sea Camp isn’t a hotel-style vacation – and that’s intentional. Here, kids sleep in tents, pitch their own camp, dine together under a reed canopy, and feel that sweet exhaustion at the end of the day that only comes after time in the sea, movement, and play. Yet, they also have access to all the conveniences of the campsite – showers, toilets, shade, a guarded area, and round-the-clock care from the team.
The idea behind the location isn’t just practical; it’s educational. Children learn adaptation, respect for nature, and how to thrive outside their comfort zone. This place doesn’t just offer “where” – it teaches “how.” How to live outdoors, how to build a team, how to face challenges with a smile. And all of this – against the backdrop of the blue sea and the scent of pine forest.
What Does the Program Include – Day by Day
The program is designed for every child to experience the maximum variety of activities without feeling overwhelmed. Most importantly, it ensures they feel each day has meaning, purpose, and adventure. Within 6 days, participants engage in various water and sports activities, as well as moments of rest, play, and sharing.
- Day 1: Arrival and Camp Setup. The morning starts with a 8:00 AM departure from Sofia by minibus. The journey is safe and supervised. Upon arrival, children enjoy free time, the beach, and setting up their tent camp. The evening is for getting to know each other and settling in.
- Day 2: Windsurfing School Begins. This day is dedicated to windsurfing school and initial sailing lessons. Adventure Net instructors explain the theory, but most importantly, they give kids the chance to get on the board and try it themselves. From this day on, the sea is no longer just a view – it becomes a stage, an arena, and a teacher.
- Day 3: Surf and Kayaking Adventures. The day once again begins with morning exercises, followed by surfing and kayaking. Kayaking is a dual test – for balance and teamwork. This is one of the moments where children bond the most.
- Day 4: Relaxed Beach Time. After surfing and lunch, the afternoon shifts to a more relaxed rhythm with beach volleyball games, rest, and fun. This is when the camp begins to feel like a small community with its own rules and rituals.
- Day 5: Special Excursion. This is a special day! A visit to Sozopol, a boat trip to St. Ivan Island, swimming, jumping from the boat, and culminating in an evening surf party and diploma ceremony. Children don’t just receive certificates – they already feel like part of something bigger.
- Day 6: Departure and Memories. The morning is dedicated to packing up the camp and departing back to Sofia. The minibus usually arrives in the capital in the afternoon – loaded with luggage, but also with stories that will be told at home for a long time.
The program is flexible: if weather conditions prevent a certain activity, it is replaced or rescheduled without compromising quality.
Accommodation, Food, and Safety – What Parents Want to Know
One of the most frequent questions parents ask is: “How safe is all of this?” The answer is simple – Adventure Net has been organizing children’s camps for decades and knows how to combine adventure with safety.
- Accommodation: Children stay in a tent camp organized by the team and the children themselves. Tents, sleeping pads, and sleeping bags are provided by the organizers – in excellent condition, checked, and clean. For cooler evenings, children are instructed to bring hoodies and raincoats – all of this is explained in advance upon registration.
- Food: Meals are smartly arranged – buffet style at a hotel, providing full breakfast, lunch, and dinner. This ensures quality and variety while maintaining the authentic atmosphere of camp life.
- Transport: Transport is included – both ways and to all locations described in the program. Drivers and instructors are experienced, certified, and trained to work with children.
- Safety: Additionally, insurance is arranged for every child, and participation requires names, personal identification numbers (EGN in Bulgaria), and parent contact information – a standard but mandatory practice that demonstrates our commitment.
Who Cares for the Children – And What Makes Them Special
Neither the program, location, nor equipment would mean anything if the people behind the camp couldn’t build trust. It is precisely the Adventure Net team that transforms the sea camp into one of the most meaningful experiences for every child. Because here, there are no “animators” with microphones and scripts. There are instructors with a mission – to impart skills, but also values. To create safety, but also to grant freedom.
Every leader who supervises a camp group has undergone training and has experience not only in working with children but also in handling real-life situations on the ground. Most of them have been connected with Adventure Net for years – some even started as participants, went through all levels, and today are the people who welcome new generations.
This continuity creates a unique atmosphere – trust, respect, and natural authority. No one needs to shout to be heard. Children sense when they are surrounded by people who take them seriously and want the best for them – without taking away the joy of play.
Understanding individual needs is also a crucial part of the approach. Organizers require information about each child’s health status, any specific needs or allergies, already at the time of registration. This is not just an administrative step but care that is genuinely applied on site. There’s no “mass production.” There’s individual attention.
Questions Every Parent Asks – And Our Answers
The Adventure Net sea camp is not just an advertisement – it’s a decision parents make with trust. Here are some of the most frequently asked questions that the organization openly answers even before registration:
- What should my child bring? Adventure Net provides a full list of necessities upon registration. This includes basic clothes, swimwear, and shoes, as well as additional items like sunscreen, a hat, a personal water bottle, and a compact backpack. Tents, sleeping pads, and sleeping bags are provided by the organizers.
- Is there a medical professional? The team always includes a person trained in first aid, equipped with a first aid kit and a clear procedure for emergencies. In more serious cases – immediate contact with parents and transport to the nearest medical facility (Sozopol).
- Will there be photos from the camp? Adventure Net informs that some photos will be uploaded to the organization’s Facebook page. This allows parents to see what’s happening in real-time and to have a memory of the experience. It’s important to note that photography is not included in the price.
- How do I communicate with my child? During the camp, children have the opportunity for limited but organized communication with parents – usually during lunch break or in the evening, at a pre-arranged time. This provides peace of mind without disrupting the camp’s rhythm.
- What if my child has never been to camp before? No problem. In fact, many participants come for the first time – and return every subsequent year. The team is prepared to address concerns, assist with adaptation, and ensure that by the second day, the child feels right at home.
Who Is This Camp For – And When Is the Best Time to Register Your Child
The sea camp is suitable for children between 8 and 16 years old, and the program is adapted so that all participants are engaged according to their age. Younger children receive more attention, while older ones face more challenges.
Each session has a limited number of spots, usually around 30–35 children. Therefore, early registration is highly recommended, especially for popular dates in July and early August. Currently, some dates are already announced as fully booked, which speaks to the trust and interest in the program.
All dates, prices, and availability can be checked on the official camp page, which also describes the reservation procedure.
The price is 695 BGN per child, including transport, food, accommodation, equipment, and the entire program. A discount is offered if parents arrange their own transport.
Reservations are confirmed with a 50% deposit, payable at the Adventure Net office or via bank transfer. The organizers explicitly state that in case of a last-minute cancellation, the deposit is non-refundable.
The Bottom Line – What Remains After the Camp Ends
Six days pass quickly, especially when filled with laughter, sea spray, and new friendships. But after camp, something more than just photos and a tan on the nose remains.
Confidence remains. In their own abilities. In the ability to pitch a tent, to paddle against the waves, to wait their turn, and to share the last wafer with someone they’ve only known for two days.
Responsibility remains too – because at camp, there’s no one to tidy up their things for them. They carry their own backpack, they organize their own clothes, they understand what independence means, without being alone.
And the team remains – who, though unseen by parents’ eyes, stays forever in the children’s memories. Not as “teachers” or “adults,” but as those people who believed in them and challenged them to grow, even if only for a few days.
And most of all – the desire to return remains.
