I have a lesson booked—where do I meet the instructor?

Your instructor will meet you at Banderishka Polyana (opposite the top station of the gondola). Allow around 30 minutes to reach the top, not including any queues.

My lesson starts at 9:00—when should I get equipped?

Prepare your equipment the day before so you don’t need to rush in the morning. It takes about 30 minutes to get to Banderishka Polyana.

Do I need a lift pass for a ski lesson?

Beginners can use a gondola-only ticket or drive up to Banderishka Polyana. A full lift pass is required when using the ski lifts on the slopes.

Is insurance included?

Accident insurance is not included in the lesson price. Insurance is included only with a ski lift pass. A gondola-only ticket is not intended for skiing and does not include insurance.

What do I need to bring in the mountains?

Ski goggles or sunglasses; warm gloves; one pair of well-fitting wool or synthetic socks; waterproof jacket and pants; water; a small snack; cash or card; sunscreen—the sun and snow reflection are strong at altitude.

What happens if I damage or lose rental equipment?

We provide equipment in excellent condition and expect normal care. In case of damage or loss, the value of the damage or loss will be charged.

Can I switch equipment from skis to snowboard and back?

Yes, you can change rented equipment at any time. If you also have a booked lesson, please contact us in advance so we can arrange a suitable instructor.

Q: What knowledge do I need to enrol in ski school?

We do not require a prior skiing level. Our instructors are experienced with beginners, young children, and advanced skiers. Whatever your experience, we will match you with the right lesson. No prior physical training is required.

Q: Do I need my own equipment for ski lessons?

You can use your own suitable equipment, or rent skis, ski boots, poles and a helmet from our ski rental. We can also help with goggles, jacket, gloves and other apparel.

For booking or inquiry it is necessary to specify the dates, times, approximate skill level and type of sport
When confirming your booking we send you a voucher with the teacher's name and the necessary details
Lesson times: from 9:00 to 11:00. / From 11:00 to 13:00 / From 13:00 to 15:00; and from 15:00 to 17:00.
Skill Level: Beginner (first steps) / Intermediate (plow turn) / Advanced (parallel ski turn) / Carving Technique (level to improve and master carving turns)
Meeting place: the map of "Benderishka Glade" (opposite the upper station of the cable car, it will take you 25 minutes to get to the top, not including the queues if there are any)

If the resort is busy and there are queues at the cable car, we will assist you with information and alternative boarding options.
On the day and time of your confirmed booking the instructor will expect you ready and equipped at the agreed location
If you don't have equipment, you need to allow time for equipment before the scheduled lesson time in our wardrobe, or from the previous day
We will provide you with up-to-date information on the state of the resort and assistance at any time: occupancy, queues, piste conditions, useful information, recommended places to eat, accommodation, transfers, additional attractions and excursions.

What knowledge do I need to enrol in ski school?

We have no requirements for a prior level of skiing. Our instructors are experienced in working with beginners, young children and advanced skiers. Regardless of your experience, you will find the right lessons for you. No prior physical training is required!

Do I need my own equipment for ski lessons?

If you have your own equipment that is suitable for you you can of course use it. If you don’t have skis, ski boots, poles and a helmet, you can rent one from our ski wardrobe. We can also assist with outfitting you with a goggle, jacket, gloves, mask, helmet.

What should I expect during ski lessons and how long do they last?

The duration of ski lessons depends on your choice. A typical lesson is 2 hours but can be adapted to suit your needs. Group lessons also usually last around 2 hours. Your instructors will guide you, teach you and provide valuable tips to advance your skiing skills.

How can I book ski lessons?

Can I join a group with children?

The progression and acquisition of skills is not the same at different ages and this would be uncomfortable for some of the group. You could offer a family lesson for you and your child, also bearing in mind here that progress will depend entirely on the weakest participant.

What does a ski/snowboard lesson include?

When booking a ski/snowboard lesson, it includes instruction with an instructor. If equipment, extra equipment, lift card is needed you must inform us additionally.

What do I need in the mountains?

Eye protection – sunglasses or ski goggles
Nice and warm gloves
Good socks – a well-fitting pair of wool or synthetic wool socks, not too thick.
Waterproof jackets and trousers will keep you warmer and more comfortable.
Water – it’s important to stay hydrated at the high and dry altitude.
Food – something small that will fit in your pocket to keep your energy up.
Credit card or cash to pay and to purchase.
Sunscreen – the sun’s rays and their reflection off the snow are very strong at this altitude.

What is the minimum age to start children's lessons?

We require a minimum of 6 years for group lessons and a minimum of 3 years for individual lessons.

What happens if I damage or lose my rental equipment?

We give you our equipment in the best possible condition and expect you to take care of it. If by any chance you damage or lose it, we will expect you to reimburse us for the value of the loss or damage.

How many days before my booking can I cancel?

You can change and cancel your reservation up to 3 days before the start date. After this period, changes are not possible, and cancellations and no-shows are subject to the full amount and no refund of the deposit.

Can I change equipment from skis to snowboards and vice versa?

Of course you can replace the rented equipment at any time. Please note that when booking a lesson to change it is necessary to contact us in advance to arrange a teacher.

Bansko boasts numerous ski slopes suitable for all levels of skiers. From beginners to advanced and professionals, you will find slopes in Bansko to suit your skills.

Difficulty levels are indicated by colours, with blue being easy, red being intermediate and black being the most difficult piste. But regardless of your choice, the spectacular scenery and skiing fun will be guaranteed.

Our child is 8 years old and we enrolled him for the ski school in Bansko of Adventurer Net. We are extremely pleased with the ski teacher who was kind and very patient. Our child learned to ski in a short time and had a lot of fun. In addition, the equipment provided for the ski lessons was in excellent condition.

My friends and I decided to try it out and signed up for group lessons. The instructors were very good and taught us the basics of carving. It was fun and full of adrenaline, but we have to admit the first day was tough. After a few lessons we started to feel more confident on the track. Next season we will definitely be back for more ski lessons in Bansko.
